“Dear Heavenly Father,

In the boundless expanse of Your grace and mercy, we come before You today, hearts open and spirits willing, to invoke Your divine protection over all of Your creation. With humble hearts, we especially lift up our brothers, the African American men, and the dedicated members of G.A.N.G.s — “Guys And No Guns” — who have courageously chosen a path of peace, eschewing the perilous ways of firearms, seeking solace in the strength of community and the power of nonviolence.

Lord, we ask that Your shield of protection envelop them, guarding their steps and guiding their journeys. In a world where dangers lurk and the shadow of violence seeks to darken the light of hope, be their constant guardian, their unshakeable fortress. Let Your presence be a beacon that leads them through the darkest valleys, a lighthouse of hope amidst the stormiest seas.

Bestow upon them, O Lord, the wisdom to navigate the complexities of life with grace, the strength to stand firm in the face of adversity, and the courage to live their truths boldly and without fear. May Your love be the armor that protects their bodies, minds, and spirits from the arrows of injustice and hatred.

We pray for unity, that through their example, communities may come together in a shared commitment to peace and justice. Let their lives be testimonies of Your transformative power, shining lights that guide others to forsake the way of violence for the path of peace.

In their moments of doubt and despair, remind them that they are not alone, that You walk beside them every step of the way. Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, and let this peace radiate through their communities, healing wounds, mending broken hearts, and breaking the chains of division.

We pray for all people, that our world may be touched by Your love, transformed by Your grace, and led by Your wisdom. May we all be instruments of Your peace, bearers of Your light, and harbingers of a new era where love triumphs over hatred, peace overcomes violence, and unity dispels division.

In the name of Jesus, who is our peace and our salvation, we commit this prayer to You, trusting in Your everlasting love and infinite wisdom.

In Jesus’ Name, We Pray.
Amen”
